2017 - 2018 Calendar

Monthly League meetings are held at 7 pm at the Elmhurst Public Library, unless otherwise indicated. The public is welcome to attend any of our General Meetings, which are listed below.

Monthly Board meetings are generally held at 7 pm on the second Thursday of the month. All members of the League are welcome to attend Board meetings.


Sunday, March 4, 1 pm, Elmhurst College, Schaible Science Center, 190 S. Prospect Ave. Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution
This film, part of the One Earth Film Festival, is an exploration of the new clean energy era as it creates jobs, turns profits, and makes communities stronger and healthier. Free.

Equal Means Equal
The Lombard AAUW has invited Elmhurst League members to a showing of the documentary film, "Equal Means Equal." Released in 2016, the film is an unflinching look at how women are treated in the United States today. Admission is free.

What About Water in Elmhurst?
Speaker: Dennis Streicher, former City of Elmhurst Director of Water/Wastewater, will discuss the Elmhurst Public Water Supply, the annual Consumer Confidence Report, challenges facing todays public water systems, and why we should all feel that our water is safe.

Thousands of federal judges are appointed for life by the President. Currently procedures meant to ensure a fair and independent judiciary have been abandoned for political expediency. Learn what you can do to ensure that federal judges will uphold our constitutional values.
